Receive Front-End Module for GPS Applications 02-02-10

Infineon introduced the GPS Receive Front-End Module BGM781N11. Including all key components to amplify a GPS signal and filter out interference, the module measures 2.5mm x 2.5mm x 0.7mm in size.

The front-end module integrates one GPS Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and two Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters with high electrostatic discharge (ESD) ruggedness in a leadless TSNP11-2 package. With the BGM781N11 only two external passive components are required in a GPS application. In addition, the BGM781N11 has a power consumption of 5.94 mW, and supports a power supply range between 1.5V and 3.6V.

The BGM781N11 GPS Receive Front-End Module is available in high-volume quantities. Infineon also provides evaluation kits. Pricing of the BGM781N11 starts at a 10,000-piece price of USD 1.00.
