Industrial automation is one of the central themes of Hannover Messe, which takes place from 24 - 28 April, 2006. The "Robotics World" provides robots with a platform for various applications in numerous industrial sectors. It places particular emphasis on automation in industrial applications such as the automobile and automotive component supply industries, the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, electrical engineering and electronics.
Robotics Academy
The Robotics Academy, which forms part of the special display "Robotics World", is taking place for the first time. Launched by a partnership embracing Volkswagen Coaching and Deutsche Messe, the Robotics Academy offers training to visitors interested in robots. Courses and seminars consist of both theoretical and practical elements. The "Robotics Academy" offers all participants the opportunity to obtain a theoretical grounding by providing objective information as well as experience in putting theory into practice. The training consists of three consecutive modules and will be provided by experienced trainers from Volkswagen Coaching. Participants can see how a robot functions, how it can be programmed using the manual controls and the range of possible applications. The experts will explain the cost/benefit ratio, elaborate on potential problems involved and provide extensive and concrete advice on how to plan, program and operate robots in specific situations. Apart from preparing an individual initial cost/benefit check for companies, the robot specialists at the Robotics Academy will also advise individuals and help them upgrade their own knowledge and expertise.
Robotics User Center
The Robotics User Center will again be showcasing automation technology for SME's in various industrial sectors. Systems houses and manufacturers will be presenting new applications and concepts for robot-aided automation in the electrical engineering and food industries.
