Amphenol, a producer of electronic and fiber optic connectors, cable and interconnect systems, reported a sales for the second quarter 2006 of $606,6 million, an increase of 37% compared to the result for the 2005 period. The net profit was $ 53,3 million, 2,3% more than in Q2/2005. In October 2005 Amphenol purchased for $390 million in cash the Connection Systems division of Teradyne. This quarter results included some flood-related charges.
