Second quarter 2007 at Epcos 04-05-07

In the 2nd quarter of the business year 2007 Epcos achieved a turnover of 365 m Euro and therefore exceeded the value of the previous year’s quarter by 13%. The largest growth was in the automobile electronics segment. From the point of view of regions, Epcos achieved its greatest growth in Germany and in the NAFTA states. The largest turnover increase in comparison to the previous quarter was achieved with ceramic modules. All product groups of the segment contributed to the double digit turnover rates which totalled 133 m Euro. Also the growth of capacitors and inductors at a level of 131 m Euro contributed greatly to the positive business developments in all product groups. The turnover of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Components totalling 101 m Euro was slightly below the previous quarter’s value. A company EBIT to the amount of 19.5 m Euro was achieved in the reported quarter. The results after taxes was 14.6 m Euro.
