Maxwell Technologies reported revenue of $29.6 million for its second quarter 2010, up 19 percent over the sum recorded in the same period in 2009. Net loss was $2.6 million, that compares with a net loss of $5.3 million in Q2/09.

First quarter ultracapacitor revenue increased by 48 percent, to $15.9 million, compared with the same period last year. Sales of high voltage capacitor and microelectronics products totaled $13.7 million, down 2 percent from the amount recorded in Q2/09.
