According to the german Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie [the Association of Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers] (ZVEI), the turnover for semiconductors in Germany in June 2007 was slightly below that of previous month. Compared to June of the previous year, the growth was 6%. Cumulated, the semiconductor growth in Germany in the first six months of the year 2007 was 3% in comparison to that of the same period of the previous year.

According to ZVEI, the improvements are slowing down. However, the expectations of the Association for this year remain positive due to further improved growth values for optical and discrete components. With the values for the first half of 2007, Germany is winning market share in Europe even with moderate growth.
