According to the ZVEI-Zentralverband Elektrotechnik und Elektronikindustrie [German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturer’s Association], the sales of semiconductors in Germany in June, with +1.5% was slightly above the sales of the previous month for the first time in seven months. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the sales shrank by 14 percent. Cumulated, the growth in Germany in the first 6 months of 2008 compared to the same time period of the previous year was minus15 percent.
