The turnover for semiconductors in Germany in October 2007, according to ZVEI, was slightly above that of the previous month, thus 6% below that of the same month of the previous year. Accumulated, the growth in Germany in the first 10 months of 2007 was 3% lower when compared to the same period in 2006. The Book-to-Bill ratio, an indicator of the medium-term trend was slightly better in the previous month with 0.99. According to ZVEI, the turnover was slightly better whereas the orders received were clearly better. The expectations for the growth of the market in 2007, however, are still below that of the previous year. Contributors to this are the weakness with discretes and optos. Calculated in Dollars, Germany is in a positive region also in October and within the forecasts made at the beginning of the year.
