According to the Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie (ZVEI), the turnover of semiconductors in Germany had a seasonal growth and reached an annual high in September, but remained 5% below that of the comparable month in 2004. Accumulated, the growth in Germany in the first nine months of this year was 1% compared to the year before.
A similar development awaits the association in the next months and shows a trend only for the year end: “The forecast for a growth in the low single figures for the whole of 2005 remains, but seems optimistic.” The Book-To-Bill-Ratio, an indicator of the medium-term trend, has fallen to below 1.00 in the past month.
