Spectrum Control takes over JDK Controls 31-10-06

Spectrum Control is taking over all shares of the Californian Potentiometer manufacturer JDK Controls. The purchase price is 4.1 m US$ including the takeover of various JDK debts. JDK is involved in the markets of metrology, medicinal technology, robot technology, airspace, automotive and industrial. In the course of the takeover, Spectrum Controls has created a new segment of “Sensors and Controls”. In 2005 the company achieved a turnover of 98.4 M US$ and a net profit of 4.6 M US$ and expects and is aiming at an additional annual turnover of 8 m US$ from the new purchase. In July 2006 Spectrum Controls purchased the Pennsylvania-domiciled Advanced Thermal Products for a price of approximately 9.3 m US$.
