IAR Systems announces that the IAR KickStart Kit for Texas Instruments Hercules RM48 MCU is released. The Hercules safety microcontroller platform has built-in hardware safety features, making it suitable for development of systems with high requirements on functional safety, for example within medical, industrial, and transportation applications areas. The Hercules safety platform consists of three ARM Cortex-based microcontroller families: TMS470M, TMS570 and RM4x. The RM4x family provides the highest performance, and is based on ARM Cortex-R4F.
