STMicroelectronics wird seine Produktsegmente neu aufteilen und in die drei Bereiche applikationsspezifische Lösungen, Flash-Speicher sowie Industrie- und Multisegment-Produkte neu organisieren. Ab Januar soll die Aufteilung funktionieren. Den Flash-Bereich leitet Mario Licciardello. Chef des Sektors Industrial & Multisegment wird Carmelo Papa. Innerhalb des Bereiches ist die Gruppe für Mikrocontrollers, Speicher und Smartcards unter der Leitung von Claude Dardanne eingegliedert. Zu den Application Specific Groups gehören die Bereiche Mobile, Multimedia & Communications, Home Entertainment & Displays, Automotive und Computer-Peripherie. Tommi Uhari ist für Mobile, Multimedia & Communications zuständig, Christos Lagomichos leitet das Home Entertainment & Display Segment und für Automotive und Peripherie sind Ugo Carena und Gian Luca Bertino verantwortlich. Philippe Geyres, bislang Chef des Sektors HPC (Home, Personal, Communication) verlässt das Unternehmen.
