As just announced by Erni, the takeover of Pewamat Elektronik with premises in Zell and Aichelberg (Germany) had already taken place at the start of the year. Pewamat provides manufacturing and test technologies for the manufacture of active soldering units. This capacity is to be used by Erni in order to expand its “Electronic Solutions”. This segment is currently approximately 30% of the turnover by Erni. The business of the previous Pewamat will be carried on as an independent company under the name of ERNI ES GmbH. The company is managed by Gerald Römpp who was previously in charge of the sales of "System Technology” at Erni. In the business year 2006, Erni Electronics, with approximately 500 employees, had a turnover of 130 m Euro.
