Team of five: Development of 32 nm semiconductor technologies 24-05-07

IBM, Infineon and Freescale together with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing and Samsung Electronics have made an agreement regarding semiconductor production. This concerns the development of a 32 nm Bulk CMOS process technology and a process Design-Kit. The cooperation is set to last till 2010. IBM, Chartered and Samsung, as production partners of the Common Platform technology, will make use of the 32 nm process technology and Design Kit in their production facilities. The partners foresee the development of an Enablement Packet for various design tools. The development work will take place in IBM’s 300 mm production facility in East Fishkill, New York.
