The American Technitrol Company has purchased the privately owned ERA Group for 49 m Euro. The ERA Group, domiciled in Herrenberg in Germany, manufactures coils and transformers that are used primarily in the automobile industry. The company was formed in 1969 and has subsidiaries in Tunis and China. Technitrol is expecting a turnover of ERA products in the business year 2006 of 90 m US$. The new purchase will be incorporated in the Technitrol Pulse segment.
