Technitrol has increased its offer of March 2007 for the Bel Fuse Company. Whereas previously the sum of 480 m US$ was being offered, this has now been increased to a total of 514 US$. Bel Fuse must make a decision by the 25th of April. Bel Fuse produces magnetic components and modules, protection elements and interconnect solutions. In 2006 the company achieved a turnover of 255 m US$ and a net profit of 25.2 m US$. Technitrol, among others, produces aerials, automotive components, electrical contacts and materials. In the past year, Technitrol achieved a turnover of 954.1 m US$ with a net profit of 57.2m US$.
