Texas Instruments acquires Ciclon Semiconductor 12-02-09

Texas Instruments acquired Bethlehem, PA-based Ciclon Semiconductor Device. It is a fabless provider of high-frequency, high-efficiency power MOSFET and RF LDMOS and semiconductor solutions for high-performance applications. Ciclone was established in March 2005. In April 2005, the company acquired RF power products technology from Agere Systems. The company was a client of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania, a state-funded economic development initiative which supports early-stage technology firms.
