Texas Instruments acquires Luminary Micro 15-05-09

TI has acquired Luminary Micro , a supplier of ARM Cortex-M3-based 32-bit microcontrollers. With this acquisition, TI now offers the Stellaris portfolio, which addresses mainstream 32-bit MCU applications with the general-purpose processing power of the ARM Cortex-M3 core and advanced communication capabilities, including 10/100 Ethernet MAC+PHY, CAN, USB On-The-Go, USB Host/Device, SSI/SPI, UARTs, I2S, and I2C.
