The turnover of the German circuit board manufacturers in 2006 was 10.3% higher compared to the previous year. This was reported by the Verband der Leiterplattenindustrie (VdL) [Association of the Circuit Board Industry] and the ZVEI- Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie [Central Association of the Electro-Technology and Electronic Industry] . A part of the growth in 2006 can be attributed to price rises caused by higher raw material prices. The December contributed 6.2% to the yearly turnover. However, in absolute terms, the sales could not reach the levels of November 2006 and December 2005. In an annual average, the number of employees remained almost the same as in 2005.
