Tyco Electronics has appointed Rob Shaddock to the newly-created role of Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Shaddock joins Tyco Electronics from Motorola, where he was senior vice president of the company's Consumer Products business. Before that, he was CTO for Motorola's Mobile Devices business. Earlier in his career, Shaddock served as CEO of Blue Wave Systems, a UK-based company that developed technology for the telecommunications and military industries.
