In the 1st quarter 2010 Tyco Electronics reported a turnover of 2.89 billion US$ and is thus 6.6% above that of the same period of the previous year. The net profit was 172 million US$ compared to a loss of 37 million US$ in Q1/2009.

In comparison to the 1st quarter 2009 the turnover rose only in the segment of electronic components - by 17.6%. In the Network Solutions segment it shrank by 7.5%, for Special Components (e.g. space travel, medical technology) by 2.5% and in the Underwater Telecommunication by 24.2%.
