In the 1st quarter 2011 Tyco Electronics reported a turnover of 3.2 billion US$ and is thus 11% above that of the same period of the previous year. The net profit was 265 million US$ compared to a profit of 172 million US$ in Q1/2010.

In comparison to the 1st quarter 2010 the turnover rose in the segment of transportation connectivity by 16%. In the Network Solutions segment it rose by 2%, for communication and industrial by 13%.
