In the second quarter of 2010 Tyco Electronics reported sales of 2.96 billion US$ which is 26.5 above the results of the same period of the previous year. The net profit was 304 million US$ compared to a net loss of 3.29 million US$ in Q2/2009.

In comparison to the 2nd quarter 2009 the turnover rose only in the segment of electronic components- by 55%. In the Network Solutions segment it shrank by 2%, for Special Components (e.g. space travel, medicine technology) by 7.2% and in the Underwater Telecommunication by 22.7%.
