UR Holding has acquired 100 percent in Austrian B.E.S.T. Electronics Distribution GmbH. The company, which specialises in the strong-margin niche of selling high-margin electronic components and semiconductors, generated revenues of narrow EUR 1 million and a positive EBIT in the last fiscal year. Confidentiality was agreed on the purchase price. With this acquisition, the company has opened up another promising market in the context of its internationalisation strategy. What is more, this considerably simplifies the position for a market entry into East Europe. With Karl Eder, the former owner of B.E.S.T. Electronics Distribution GmbH, UR have gained an expert in the area of semiconductors and sensor technology for the position of Managing Director.
