Vishay increases proposal for International Rectifier 11-09-08

Vishay has increased the price of its proposal to acquire all of the outstanding shares of International Rectifier common stock to $23.00 per share. The transaction now has a value of approximately $1.7 billion in the aggregate. On August 17th Vishay has made a proposal of approximately $1.6 billion. International Rectifier did reject the offer some days later. The 2007 revenue of International Rectifier was $1.2 billion and the net income was $77.4 million. Vishay announced net revenues for the year ended December 2007 were $2.833 billion and the net income was $139.7 million.
