Vishay terminates offer for International Rectifier 13-10-08

Vishay has terminated its offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of International Rectifier. Vishay at least has increased the price of its proposal to acquire all of the outstanding shares of International Rectifier common stock to $23.00 per share. The transaction value was of approximately $1.7 billion. International Rectifier did reject all offers. The 2007 revenue of International Rectifier was $1.2 billion and the net income was $77.4 million. Vishay announced net revenues for the year ended December 2007 were $2.833 billion and the net income was $139.7 million.
