Effective September 1, 2009 the Supervisory Board of the Weidmüller-Group appoints Volpert Briel as member of the Executive Board. Briel will assume responsibility for the Weidmüller Group’s sales division. The main focus will be on Central Europe as well as on the growing markets Asia and America. Volpert Briel is completing the existing Executive Board consisting of Dr. Joachim Belz (CEO) and Harald Vogelsang (CFO). He comes from the mechanical engineering company Voith, where he directed the global division Small-Scale Hydropower. Prior to this he worked for ABB, Wende and Malter, York International and GEA.
