Weidmüller takes over Heyfra Electronic 04-06-08

For an as yet undisclosed sum, Weidmüller has acquired all the shares of the Heyfra Electronic in Lutherstadt Eisleben, Germany. The company will be renamed Weidmüller Heyfra and is to be built up as a competence centre for communication electronics with an emphasis on industrial Ethernet. Heyfra was founded in 1994 by Dietmar Franke and Klaus Dieter Heyroth. Weidmüller had already bought a participation of 51% of the company in the spring of 2005.

 

Dietmar Franke remains as Managing Director of the new Weidmüller Heyfra and will also become the Manager of the communication electronics business segment inside the Weidmüller group.
