Wideband Current Transformers for frequencies up to 500 MHz 26-11-07

As official European distributor for Bergoz Instrumentation, AMS Technologies announces the availability of wideband current transformers. The new product range provides non destructive (non contact) current measurement for single or repetitive, unipolar and bipolar pulses, as well as continuous wave. Currents from micro-amps to 20K amps can be measured at frequencies from 0.5 Hz to 500 MHz with an accuracy of 0.5%. The output voltage is an accurate voltage waveform representation of the measured current, which can be analysed on an oscilloscope, RF power meter, spectrum analyser or custom interface circuitry.

Typical applications and industrial sectors include the laser and plasma research, semiconductor gate switching, capacitor and electrostatic discharges as well as critical monitoring of current fluctuations. The product line features higher frequency cut off and up to 5 times more sensitivity for low intensity signal measurement than competing products as well as faithful rendering of fast transients. The transformers are available in 5 case sizes, can be terminated with BNC or SMA connectors and offers a sensitivity range providing environmental application flexibility. All transformers can be shipped with certificate of calibration and factory test data to ensure the optimum level of performance.
