Jungo Software Technologies announced a new release of WinDriver, its USB/PCI driver and firmware development toolkits, supporting Windows (CE/Vista Beta/XP/Server2003/2000/ME/98), Linux and Solaris. WinDriver version 8.11 now supports PowerPC 64bit architectures on Linux 2.6.x Kernels, including the latest 2.6.17-18. The new version of WinDriver also includes support for Fedora Core 6 pre-releases. Following Jungo’s partnering to Agere, WinDriver now offers enhanced support for Agere’s USS2828 USB chip, including library APIs and a sample application for the device’s default firmware.
