Wolfson CEO steps down 23-11-06

Dave Shrigley

David Milne, CEO of Wolfson will retire from the post on 28 February 2007. Milne (64) founded Wolfson Microelectronics in 1984 and has served as CEO and Managing Director since that time. Milne will remain on the Board. As CEO Designate has been apointed Dave Shrigley with effect from 27 November 2006. He will become CEO from 1 March 2007. Shrigley joins the Board of Directors with effect from 27 November 2006 and will be based in Edinburgh. Shrigley, 58, had a long career at Intel from 1978 – 1996. He joined Bay Networks in 1996, the company was acquired by Nortel where Shrigley continued to work until 1999. As a director of SonicWall he was involved in their IPO on NASDAQ and as a general partner at Sevin Rosen Funds in California (1999 – 2005) was a portfolio director of several companies including SPI Lasers in the UK.
