WomenPower 2006 at the Hanover Fair 30-01-06

For the third time, the WomenPower congress will be held by the Deutsche Messe within the framework of the Hanover Fair (HMI) on the 28th April 2006. The Patron is Ursula von der Leyen, Federal Minister for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth. According to CDI studies, an increasing number of women are studying the engineering sciences – because of the increasing need for engineers and also the good career chances. The congress offers an opportunity to form professional contacts and networks.

 

Speakers, among others are Sylvia Stange (Deutsche Telekom), Gabriele Hantschel (Microsoft Deutschland), Angela Josephs-Olesch (Phoenix Contact), Barbara Schwarze (Kompetenzzentrum TeDiC), Susanne Volz (Chair of the VDI segment of women in engineering professions „fib"), Prof. Dr. Susanne Ihsen (TU München) and Susanne Kiefer (leader of the advanced education projects Corporate Personnel Germany, Siemens) and Sabine Asgodom. For the first time a special founder’s forum will be offered. The participant fee is 40 Euro and includes entry to the fair, workshops and refreshments, the fee is 35 Euro for participants in possession of a fair ticket.
