In its spring report the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) forecasts a growth of 4.7% to 267.7 bn US$ for the worldwide semiconductor market. Compared to the November 2007 prognosis, the current forecast was corrected downwards by 4.4 percentage points. The WSTS sees only small correction requirements for further forecasts. In 2009 and 2010 the market is expected to grow by 5.8% and 8.8% respectively.
