The Würth Elektronik eiSos group has announced the purchase of the North American Midcom Inc. with headquarters in Watertown, South Dakota on the 23rd of January 2007. Midcom’s product palette ranges from standardized LAN transformers for digital applications, through ADSL transformers up to customer-specific solutions for power applications. Besides its headquarters in the USA, Midcom (now Wurth Electronics Midcom) has production facilities in China (Longgang near Shenzhen and Fuling near Chongqing) Würth Elektronik eiSos produces passive components for automotive, industrial and telecom applications.
