XTX Module based on Intel 915 Chipset 30-11-05

congatec presents the conga-X915, a XTX based COM (Computer On Module). The conga-X915 is ETX compatible but replaces the ISA bus with PCI Express and much more. The X915 is equipped with an Intel processor up to 2.0 GHz Pentium M (760) and is ETX compatible but replaces the ISA bus on ETX connector X2 with PCI Express, SATA, additional USB 2.0 ports, LPC bus and fan control signals. The Intel chipset 82915GM features an integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 900. It supports EPI (Embedded Panel Interface) to auto detect almost any flatpanel display. The video output can be routed to LVDS, SDVO, TV-Out or analog VGA.

High speed I/O devices can be controlled using 4 PCI Express lanes with 2.5 GBit/s data throughput per lane. The PCI bus remains available for "classic" system expansions. To control slower devices on the baseboard, the ISA compatible LPC (Low Pin Count) interface can be used. In principle the LPC bus is a serialized ISA bus. It's software compatible to the parallel ISA bus but it uses considerably fewer pins. A lot of devices with direct LPC support allow easy integration of low speed I/O's even without the ISA bus.

All congatec boards are equipped with a board controller, which controls certain aspects of the congatec embedded BIOS. It's ability to isolate itself from the main x86 processor enhances embedded features such as system monitoring, watchdog timer, I²C bus. These features are also available while in standby mode.

Quantity price for the Intel Celeron M 1.0 GHz version of the conga-X915 starts at 380 Euros. The RoHS compliant conga-X915 is available now.
