In the fourth quarter of the business year 2006, Infineon increased its turnover from 1.97 billion Euro of the previous quarter to 2.29 billion Euro. The turnover without the Qimonda segment creased compared to the previous quarter from 995 million Euro to 1.06 billion Euro. The company announced a nett loss of approximately 36 million Euro in the fourth business quarter 2006 in contrast to the losses of 23 million Euro of the previous quarter. In the whole of the business year 2006 the company turnover increased due to the greater turnover at Qimonda in the automotive, industrial and multi-market sector to 7.93 billion Euro compared with 6.76 billion Euro in the business year 2005. The company Ebit loss improved to 15 million Euro.
