The micro-controller manufacturer Zilog has rejected the hostile takeover offer of the Americam specialist for remote control technologies, Universal Electronics Inc. The offer, valid to the 1st of February, of US$ 4.50 per share does not represent the future value of the company, according to Zilog opinion. UEI is expecting a turnover in the business year 2007 of 280 m US$.
